Swimming Pools - We build custom
in-ground vinyl liner swimming pools. We use the finest
mechanicals from manufacturers such as Hayward, Pentair, Hydra and
Jandy and they generally start around $27,000 for a decent
sized pool with quality materials and a generous deck. Our
standard pool uses a DE filter for only the clearest water possible.
A basic pool takes as little as 6 days, but generally closer
to 8-10 days to complete, with more elaborate designs obviously
costing more and taking longer. We can tell you what our
backlog looks like for a start date at the time of your design
consultation. Start dates are currently about 40 days
out.
Water Gardens - Our standard water garden
uses approximately 6-10 tons of stone and small boulders and all are
hand placed on a fish-safe liner in a hand dug shelved pond
basin. Our standard water garden has an 11' x 16' pond basin
and has a waterfall mound area of about 8' x 10' with approximately
a 24" - 30" waterfall elevation. We can obviously increase any
of those dimensions and generally recommend that you put in the
largest feature you feel comfortable with in your site. The
larger the pond, the more fish you can accommodate and generally
speaking the more enjoyment you will derive.
Our standard
water garden costs about the same as a quality hot-tub or spa and we
use only the finest components available for pumps, underwater
lighting, skimmers, etc. Our standard pond takes from one very
long day. Starting around 7am and tweaking lights sometimes until 10
pm to 2-3 days to complete with landscaping and other features
taking additional time.
Our water
garden crew can generally start within 2 weeks if the weather has
been good and if you don't mind having us there on a week-end we
generally leave Saturdays and Sundays open to cover emergency
projects (mothers & fathers day, graduations, weddings,
birthdays, etc.)
Putting Greens & Chipping Practice
Facilities - Generally the cost is made up of four
factors, the actual size of the putting surface, the amount of
fringe, grade or excavation requirements and landscaping features
such as sand traps and patio paver stones, etc. Fringe
is more expensive than the actual putting surface as there is
substantially more labor involved with setting fringe (and the
fringe material is more costly) than the green itself.
But keep in mind that fringe can really make the green look
spectacular (we have a 2 foot fringe on our putting green).
The larger the green the least expensive the square foot
pricing. A green under 300 square feet will be comparable in
price to a nice paver patio at about $14 per square foot. At
300 feet and above the price drops to about $12.95 per square foot,
or less for larger projects. If there is little grade or
excavation work besides stripping topsoil you have very little
additional expense involved in the project. Sand traps are
certainly nice if you have the room. We recommend a 5'x12'
bunker as the minimum size and that size bunker in normal conditions
costs about $350-$400 installed. Not counting site work
(grading, landscaping & excavation) we can professionally
install around 600 square feet of completed putting green a
day.
We have 3 certified installers, each
capable of running a separate crew so our capacity for putting green
installation is unrivaled. Generally speaking we can start and
complete your standard project within 7-10 days from initiating the
contract. As with the water gardens we leave week-ends fairly
open to accommodate emergency installations. Be aware that we
can not complete a putting green when there is even a light drizzle
in the air. Once we place the turf it has to be perfectly dry
to complete the installation. We keep large tarps with us in
case of the quick shower to keep the work going if at all
possible.
Swimming Pool Service -
We can perform nearly any service
project on your swimming pool. Cost is obviously dependent on
the problem to be resolved, and many underground problems can be
difficult to diagnose. We will give you a written estimate
before commencement of any work. Generally we can have service
personnel at your location within a week, sometimes the same
day. Every job is different in service. Service calls
are $50 minimum and include the first 30 minutes...this also applies
to service estimates.
Estimates and Meeting Times
- We normally collect $100 for a design consultation fee at the time
of the consultation. The fee is refunded if we
build the project.
The design consultation includes feasibility, site planning,
future plans and a written estimate and estimated start date.
The design consultation does not include drawings.
We meet by appointment when all concerned parties are available
for the consultation. We prefer to meet between 7 am and
9 pm Monday thru Saturday. We can meet Sunday afternoons or
evenings if schedules dictate. It is important that we have
natural sunlight during the bulk of the appointment for site
planning and line of sight issues at your home.
